Earth Science is a multidisciplinary course which will offer students the chance to examine the relationships behind our sun and universe, our planet, the forces that shape Craftsbury's local environment and humanity itself.
Students will explore and investigate '4 big ideas' within earth science throughout the academic year. These units will be accompanied by scientific research, independent projects, laboratory experiments, and interactions with community members, and more. Students will explore the following earth science themes:
Students will finish the course with a final project that will focus on local and regional issues regarding climate change and sustainability, which will be presented to school and community members. |
