Chemistry is a field of science that introduces students to the chemical reactions that furthers their knowledge about biology, environmental science, and even physics.
This course will introduce students to the basic scientific principals of matter, chemical reactions and cycling, and energy. However, students will extend their new knowledge by exploring this content within other fields of science, as well as designing and analyzing scientific experiments. Students will explore '4 big ideas' of chemistry within the course:
Students will also continue to hone their scientific skills within inquiry-based labs, research projects, and collaborative learning experiences. Scientific literacy and critical thinking will be especially important as students become more independent, curious scientists. |
