AP Biology is a college-level examination administered to juniors and seniors at the beginning of each May (next testing date is May 9th, 2017).
While the content and skills required for the test are numerous, the course can be broken down into 4 'big ideas.'
While students will utilize national standards, textbooks, and resources to prepare for the exam, we will also consider and examine local and global examples and issues which help explain the processes of biology, as well as better inform students about their communities and world. The course will also focus on scientific literacy and communication, including using clear writing, data analysis and interpretation, critical thinking, and synthesizing conclusions from experiments and scientific data. |
